Probiotics:

Probiotics are beneficial bacteria that improve gut health by facilitating digestion and nutrient absorption.

Thus, regular consumption of probiotic foods helps intestinal functioning and also strengthens the immune system, helping to prevent diseases such as flu and colds.

Seus Main benefits  include:

  • Fighting intestinal diseases such as colitis, irritable bowel syndrome, de Chron and intestinal inflammation;

  • Fight candidiasis, hemorrhoids and urinary tract infection.

  • Improve digestion and decrease heartburn;

  • Increase the absorption of some nutrients, such as vitamin B or methionine;

  • Increase the production of macrophages, which are the body's defense cells;

Although the health benefits of probiotics are broad, it is important to consult a nutritionist or general practitioner before starting to take probiotic capsules, for example.

Some examples of probiotics are os Lactobacillus acidophilus, L. casei e L. bifidum which are generally added to certain foods that are now called probiotic foods, such as:

  • Yakult,  Kefir;

  • Oriental products based on soy and vegetables, such as Miso, Natto, Kimchi, which can be purchased in specialized stores.

These, when consumed regularly, improve intestinal transit, being especially indicated for cases of constipation and diarrhea caused by the ingestion of antibiotics. To achieve the benefits, it is recommended to consume 1 yogurt with probiotics per day, every day. Results can start to be seen after 7 days.
